2004 Conferences/Conventions

• CoreNet - San Antonio, TX (November 2004)
  AED staff attended CoreNet's fall conference to promote the Albuquerque metro area. AED staff met one-on-one with several corporate real estate executives to discuss the opportunities in the area in more detail.
• Forbes CEO Forum - New York City, NY (October 2004)
  AED and the NM Economic Development Partnership were co-sponsors of the Forbes Chief Executive Officers Forum at the St. Regis in New York City. AED and NMEDP promoted Albuquerque and the State to the nearly 200 CEOs in attendance.
• National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) - Las Vegas, NV
  (October 2004)
  AED staff attended the NBAA in Las Vegas to promote the metro area to new and expanding aviation related companies. The metro area has become a hotbed for avionics, which was evident by the number of attendees interested in speaking to AED staff at the conference.
• Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) - Memphis, TN
  (September 2004)
  AED staff attended the conference of the International Asset Management Council in Memphis to promote the metro area to site selection consultants in attendance.
• Forbes CFO Forum - New York City, NY (May 2004)
  AED and the NM Economic Development Partnership were co-sponsors of the Forbes Chief Financial Officers Forum at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. AED and NMEDP promoted Albuquerque and the State to the nearly 150 CFOs in attendance.
• CoreNet - Chicago, IL (May 2004)
  AED staff attended CoreNet's spring conference to promote the area to corporate real estate executives in attendance.
• NanoBusiness 2004 - New York City, NY (May 2004)
  AED helped sponsor this annual business conference on nanotechnology. AED staff attended the conference to promote the area's high tech amenities and skilled workforce to nanotechnology related companies.
• Financial Executives International - San Diego, CA (April 2004)
  AED staff attended this annual conference for the first time. The AED booth received a fair amount of traffic as many attendees were interested in learning more about the newly enacted High Wage Jobs Tax Credit.
• Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) - Tucson, AZ (March 2004)
  AED staff attended the spring conference of the International Asset Management Council in Tucson. At the conference, AED staff had meetings with company executives interested in the Albuquerque area as well as site selection consulting firm representatives.
