TALENT INSIGHTS ADVISORY COUNCIL

Focusing on new innovation industries and utilizing data from the strategic plan, this council will serve as a regional convenor to unify and empower the regional workforce development ecosystem by fostering collaboration between education, industry, and government. Informed by data and energized by inclusion, the advisory is committed to identifying cross-sector partnerships and utilize complex data sets with the intent to build a resilient and adaptable workforce that meets the demands of today and designing it to serve the needs and challenges of tomorrow.

AREA’s industry aligned advisory councils work to shape the organization’s key target industry initiatives, leverage connections to further job creation and competitiveness efforts and support the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at attracting and growing key industries for economic diversification of the greater Albuquerque region.

COUNCIL EXPERTISE

Members of the Talent Insights Advisory Council represent a diverse mix of experience in business innovation, higher eduation and proven growth strategy execution. In general, permanent members are affiliated with AREA contributors at the Bronze level or higher, with regular invitations to community partners with subject matter expertise for various discussions..

CHAIR

Joy Foreland  is the Vice President of the Workforce and Community Success Division for CNM

Since joining CNM as Executive Director of Student Workforce Success in 2022 and serving as Interim Chief of the Division since last fall, Ms. Forehand has been instrumental in advancing the goals of the Division and the College. Through her leadership, CNM has made impressive progress in building and expanding strong partnerships with employers in the region to support their workforce needs, while also connecting CNM learners to more work-based learning and quality career opportunities. We are so pleased to have her as Chair of this Advisory Council!
